Andrea Steinbauer is a German artist, born and raised in Albrecht Duerers hometown Nuremberg. Inspired by the Old Master, her passion for art and traditional painting began at very young age and led her to pursue a career as a representational artist.
Andrea received a classical art education at Atelier Felicitas Meißer, studied on the ‘Master of Fine Art’ program at San Francisco’s Academy of Art University (California/US) and had the chance to learn from masters like Ted Seth Jacobs, David Leffel or Max Ginsburg. Based on her academic training, Andrea’s artwork is dedicated to traditional concepts combined with the influence of the contemporary life.
Andrea lives in Munich. She works full time as a commission portrait painter and figurative artist since 2008 and gives lectures about the foundations of traditional fine art painting. Her artwork was shown in the U.S., Italy, Switzerland and Germany.
Since September 2023, Andrea supports the Portrait Society of America, in creating a greater awareness of traditional fine art portraiture and figurative art, by volunteering as the State Ambassador to Europe.
